8. Financial Information

The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, supported by charitable donations from individuals, Foundations, and residents. Actual costs, per resident, per day, at WCDH, are about $120. Dedicated Fellowships cover all costs of a resident's stay; not, however, transportation to Eureka Springs.

Each resident is asked to contribute to the cost of a Colony stay to the extent she or he is honestly able; however, demonstrable talent, self-discipline, and achievement are the only criteria for residency.

If you wish to have Internet service, there is a nominal one-time charge for hook-up. All accommodations can be Internet-enabled.

Please list the weekly contribution you will be making during your residency:

9. Community Service

For every 30 days' residency at WCDH, each resident is asked to contribute one day's community service within our region. This could be visits to schools, talks to a civic group, readings at a nearby university, or an all-day workshop.

Please describe your ideal audience(s), by interest, profession or age group:

Upon acceptance, we will work on setting up venues and a schedule with which you feel comfortable, and where your talents and gifts can nourish others. Whenever possible, you will receive written notification of this before you arrive.

10. Final Checklist
