
The Maeve Marie Fellowship
For Children's Book Writing
Funded by the book loving, wordsmith family of Maeve Marie, going on three years old. The family includes Sandy Wright, former Colony Executive Director and Maeve's gram, Judi Selle (Maeve's other gram), Rowan Hintz (brother), Dan Hintz (Maeve's dad) Kassie Misiewicz (Maeve's mom) Steve Hintz (uncle), Kate Hintz (aunt). Every since Maeve arrived - literally - stories have been an important part of her daily life. And, the family wants that to continue, so the Maeve Marie Fellowship was born.
This fellowship is offered to both emerging and experienced writers of children's literature, from picture books to teen writing. The fellowship provides a one-month residency at the Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow. Application deadline is November 15, 2008.Apply online. The first Maeve Marie Fellowship recipient was award winning author, Jerdine Nolen, in 2007.
