Several years ago, Marty and Elise Roenigk gifted a piece of history to The Writers Colony - a charming Frank Lloyd-Wright "Usonian" classic home that happens to be located right next door to our main Dairy Hollow House.  We've been renovating the home for some time, and now we're proud to say that our newest addition to the Colony Campus is on schedule to open this spring!

"505" has five new writing/living suites - each with private bedroom, bathroom and writing/creating room. "505" also has another full kitchen available to all residents, and a fantastic conference room with a deck, fireplace, and state-of-the-art videoconferencing capabilities.  Of course, the entire residence has wi-fi. Multiple decks, lots of widows and all the natural beauty of Eureka Springs to boot.

Our long-range plan is to connect Dairy Hollow House to 505 with decking surrounded by a full garden for our culinary guests' fresh pickins (as well as the Colony's own Chef Cindy's garden).

"505" is dedicated to two very special people - the late Marty Roenigk and Elise Roenigk. It's difficult to describe just how much they are valued, appreciated, and loved.  For those of us forturnate enough to have been exposed to their vision, passion and dedication to the arts, the community, to humanity, to children, and to The Writers Colony at Dairy Hollow -  you know.  For those who haven't had that good fortune (yet), we believe when you visit the Colony - you'll understand.  It's a magical place designed for YOU - thanks to them.
