DESCRIPTION:Screenwriting for Distribution & Marketing\nSaturday\, March 7\, 2026 \nThe Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow\, in partnership with the MidAmerica Film Market and Fort Smith International Film Festival\, presents an afternoon and evening devoted to the craft and business of storytelling. \nAt 3:00 PM\, join us at the Colony for Screenwriting for Distribution & Marketing\, a hands-on workshop led by writer\, producer\, and director Kate Siegenthaler. This practical session explores how screenwriters position their work for distribution\, marketing\, and real-world audiences — offering actionable tools for both emerging and established writers. \nThe workshop is offered in person at WCDH or online via Zoom (same content\, same price – $33.65). \nAt 5:00 PM\, continue the conversation over an intimate dinner with Kate at the Colony ($49.70). \nThe evening concludes at 7:30 PM with a screening of Kate’s award-winning feature film Inthralled at the historic Eureka Auditorium ($12.24). \nKate Siegenthaler is an award-winning filmmaker whose work has screened at festivals nationwide. DESCRIPTION:Poetluck- Zeek Taylor returns to the Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow in Eureka Springs on Thursday\, March 19\, 2026.\nThe Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow is honored to present our March Poetluck\, featuring award-winning artist\, author\, and storyteller Zeek Taylor. \nZeek Taylor is the recipient of the Arkansas Governor’s Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement and is widely known for his distinguished career as a visual artist\, author\, and public speaker. His storytelling has reached audiences across the globe through performances on NPR’s Tales from the South and a StoryCorps interview preserved in the Library of Congress. He is the author of four books\, including his most recent release\, Out of the Delta\, the Anthology\, a collection of autobiographical short stories. A long-time resident of Eureka Springs\, Zeek holds a special connection to the Writers’ Colony\, where a suite has been dedicated in his honor. \nPoetluck is a beloved community gathering that brings writers\, readers\, and literary enthusiasts together in a warm and welcoming environment. The evening begins with a potluck meal at 6:00 PM\, followed by open mic readings at 6:30 PM. Guests are invited to bring a dish to share if they wish\, though it is not required. \nWriters of all genres and experience levels are encouraged to participate in the open mic and share poetry\, prose\, or works-in-progress. DESCRIPTION:April Poetluck featuring John Rankine \nJohn Rankine returns to the Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow in Eureka Springs on Thursday\, April 16\, 2026. \nThe Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow is honored to present our April Poetluck\, featuring award-winning artist\, writer\, and photographer John Rankine. \nJohn Rankine is a multi-media artist and longtime Eureka Springs resident who has spent nearly three decades contributing to the creative life of this community. A recipient of the Arkansas Individual Artist Fellowship for his photography installation “A Community At Peace” and an Artist 360 grant for his photographic series “Men With Earrings\,” Rankine’s work spans photography\, writing\, and visual art. His writing and photography have appeared in eMerge Magazine\, and he is a familiar voice at Homegrown Tales\, the bi-monthly storytelling event hosted at Brews — the coffee and craft beer establishment he co-owns\, where he has curated rotating art exhibitions for the past decade. Earlier in his career\, Rankine was a co-founder\, photojournalist\, and columnist for the Lovely County Citizen. \nPoetluck is a beloved community gathering that brings writers\, readers\, and literary enthusiasts together in a warm and welcoming environment. The evening begins with a potluck meal at 6:00 PM\, followed by open mic readings at 6:30 PM. Guests are invited to bring a dish to share if they wish\, though it is not required. \nWriters of all genres and experience levels are encouraged to participate in the open mic and share poetry\, prose\, or works-in-progress.
