For many talented writers, the costs associated with a residency—particularly travel—present a significant barrier. The WCDH Scholarship Fund aims to remove these obstacles, giving writers the opportunity to focus on their craft and create stories that inspire and captivate readers.

Our residency rates are already subsidized and include a prepared dinner on weeknights, along with access to our fully stocked shared kitchen for breakfast and lunch. Every gift to the Scholarship Fund goes directly toward residency assistance—writers can apply to receive 25% to 75% of their residency cost, based on need.
