Lend a Hand, Grow the Mission, and Be Part of something Meaningful.
The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow thrives because of the generosity, passion, and talent of our extended community. Whether you have an hour, a weekend, or an ongoing desire to help, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
Here are just a few of the ways you can volunteer your time and talents:
Poetluck Helpers
Our monthly Poetluck is a cherished tradition. Volunteers help with setup, cleanup, welcoming guests, and keeping things running smoothly. It’s a fun and inspiring evening, and a great way to meet our community of writers and creatives.
Event Support
From fundraisers to parades and public readings, we can always use extra hands. Whether you’re great at decorating, organizing, greeting guests, or lifting tables — there’s a role for you!
Join a Committee
We welcome volunteers with ideas, insight, and enthusiasm to serve on committees that help guide events, fellowships, fundraising, and more. It’s a great way to contribute to the bigger picture.
Fellowship Readers & Judges
Help select the next generation of WCDH fellows by volunteering as a reader or judge for our fellowship applications. Your literary insight helps lift up underrepresented voices and worthy stories.
Seasonal Deep Cleaning Crew (Spring & Winter Refresh)
Help us keep the Colony cozy, clean, and welcoming year-round!
