Poetluck- Zeek Taylor returns to the Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow in Eureka Springs on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow is honored to present our March Poetluck, featuring award-winning artist, author, and storyteller Zeek Taylor.

Zeek Taylor is the recipient of the Arkansas Governor’s Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement and is widely known for his distinguished career as a visual artist, author, and public speaker. His storytelling has reached audiences across the globe through performances on NPR’s Tales from the South and a StoryCorps interview preserved in the Library of Congress. He is the author of four books, including his most recent release, Out of the Delta, the Anthology, a collection of autobiographical short stories. A long-time resident of Eureka Springs, Zeek holds a special connection to the Writers’ Colony, where a suite has been dedicated in his honor.

Poetluck is a beloved community gathering that brings writers, readers, and literary enthusiasts together in a warm and welcoming environment. The evening begins with a potluck meal at 6:00 PM, followed by open mic readings at 6:30 PM. Guests are invited to bring a dish to share if they wish, though it is not required.

Writers of all genres and experience levels are encouraged to participate in the open mic and share poetry, prose, or works-in-progress. Poetluck offers a supportive space to connect, listen, and celebrate the written word in community.

This event is free and open to the public.
