Rebecca Flynt’s Founding Fathers Series

Rebecca is an author and historian with a passion for early American history. Her first novel, American Harlot, tells the story of Maria Reynolds, infamous mistress of Alexander Hamilton and woman at the center of the first major scandal in American history.

Flynt’s second in the series, Upon Leaving Bizarre, chronicles the murder trial surrounding Nancy Randolph and her mid-life marriage to Gouverneur Morris, the penman of the U.S. Constitution. 

Flynt enjoys speaking about history at various educational, social, and civic organizations in her area. She presented at History Camp Boston in 2025 and has appeared as a guest on Historian Clay Jenkinson’s podcast “Listening to America.” She curated and wrote the introduction for In Their Own Words, an educational collection of letters written by our Founding Fathers. Rebecca lives in the Texas Hill Country west of Austin and enjoys researching and spending time with her grandchildren.
